Censorship, mass destruction, and extreme rarity.

How La Pandilla Basura became the ultimate Garbage Pail Kids holy grail.

full story.png

Welcome to PandillaBasura.com, the ultimate archive for Peru's rarest Garbage Pail Kids release, "La Pandilla Basura".

Launched by Editorial Navarrete in June 1989, La Pandilla Basura brought 208 grotesque, hilarious stickers, ike Explosivo Iñigo (Adam Bomb) and Vampiro Alvarito (Nasty Nick), to Peruvian kids during a time of economic turmoil and moral panic. Non-adhesive cards "cromos" glued into vibrant albums sparked massive trading... until schools confiscated them, parents destroyed collections, and the series vanished. Today, surviving completed albums or loose card originals are among the world's rarest GPK variants, with no PSA grades known and values soaring.

PerúGPKING, featuring exclusive insights from J.P. Navarrete (GM of Navarrete and grandson of founder Robert Navarrete), authentication tips, checklists, scans, and nostalgic stories, this site revives a forbidden slice of 1980s Peruvian pop culture, nearly 40 years later. Explore the trashy, rebellious history of La Pandilla Basura.
